The Iowa Board of Regents has selected six outstanding faculty members to be honored for their extraordinary contributions and sustained record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

The search committee for the next associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the UI Graduate College has announced that two candidates will participate in open forums next week.

Third-year student Seren Castellano was named a 2025 Goldwater Scholar, the nation’s most prestigious scholarship for undergraduate students pursuing careers in research.

Established in memory of Professor Michael J. Brody, president of the Faculty Senate from 1986 to 1987, this award recognizes outstanding faculty who have made exceptional contributions to the university and the community. This year’s recipients were announced at the March 2025 UI Faculty Senate meeting and each will receive $1,000 and a commemorative piece of artwork designed by a graduate student in the UI School of Art, Art History, and Design.

The Iowa Student Experience Survey will gather insights on student satisfaction, belonging, and financial concerns. This confidential survey, which takes just 10-15 minutes to complete, is designed to help the university better understand and improve the student experience.
