Five University of Iowa faculty members—Eric Gidal, Trevor Harvey, Emily Hughes, Margaret Murray, and Rene Rocha—were named recipients of the 2024 Hubbard-Walder Award for Excellence in Teaching.

The 2024 Lola Lopes Award for Undergraduate Student Advocacy has been awarded to Dr. Maria Guadalupe Bruno and Kate Torno Fashimpaur.

Led by the Center for Teaching, University of Iowa faculty and students are participating in the Students as Partners program. The program matches an instructor with 1 to 2 undergraduate students who provide meaningful feedback and ideas about student learning experiences. By bringing together instructors and students as collaborative partners, this program fosters more inclusive, engaging, and equitable learning environments.

The Center for Teaching’s Graduate Teaching Fellows program is a year-long paid opportunity that allows participants to develop their teaching skills in a cross-disciplinary learning community led by Center for Teaching staff. The program facilitates preparation for diverse career opportunities including faculty and staff roles in higher education.
