As artificial intelligence (AI) rapidly evolves, it has potential to significantly impact many academic activities at the University of Iowa. A new committee will assess and provide guidance to faculty, staff, and students about opportunities and challenges of AI in the academic setting.

To advance the UI’s strategic plan goal of excellence in teaching and learning, the university is transitioning the administrative home of the Center for Teaching from the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology (OTLT) in Information Technology Services back to the Office of the Provost.
