The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost is committed to supporting faculty excel in their role at the University of Iowa. Resources are available for faculty development through several initiatives.
Faculty Development Plan (FDP)
The FDP facilitates the planning, support, and feedback that faculty require to support career progression, regardless of rank or track. It requires introspection and input from the faculty member to help them take charge of their career development. This tool may be a useful adjunct to the annual review, and serve as a focus for that conversation.
Faculty Fellow for Faculty Development
The Provost Faculty Fellow for Faculty Development focuses efforts on strategies to support faculty development on our campus, including but not limited to developing seminars for early and mid-career faculty, DEO development and planning for retirement.
