The University of Iowa’s commitment to supporting faculty at every stage of their careers continues to strengthen retention across campus. In FY2025, the university's faculty retention rate remained at 96.3% in FY 2025.

Stop/Time Festival adds writers, other events to lineup

Hancher Auditorium partnered with the UI Office of Writing and Communication to invite a slate of UI-affiliated authors to read from their works at the debut of the Stop/Time Festival, April 3–4. These events will showcase exceptional writers who are powerful performers of their own work alongside a remarkable slate of musicians.

UI sets new records in student retention, graduation

The University of Iowa again set new records for student retention and graduation in 2025, continuing a steady upward trend. Investments in academic and support programs and need-based financial aid are helping more students stay on track and earn their degrees.

The Iowa Board of Regents will recognize six outstanding University of Iowa faculty members for their extraordinary contributions and sustained record of distinction in teaching, scholarship, and service.
