Sue Curry, dean emerita and distinguished professor of health management and policy in the University of Iowa College of Public Health, has received the Walsh McDermott Medal from the National Academy of Medicine (NAM).

University of Iowa financial aid professionals played a central role in the 2026 Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA) Annual Conference, held October 18–21 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Their contributions included leading conference programming, presenting institutional practices and academic research, facilitating applied learning, and serving in professional association leadership.
