Supplemental Instruction moving to Main Library

Most Supplemental Instruction (SI) sessions have moved from the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) to a new location on the second floor of the Main Library. This temporary space (LIB 2024) will host the majority of SI sessions during the 2025-26 academic year, with plans to transition to a permanent Main Library location in the future.
UI to launch new AI certificate in 2026

Beginning in fall 2026, the UI will offer an undergraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence. Open to students from all academic backgrounds, the certificate will provide a broad, interdisciplinary foundation in AI. Students will gain an understanding of AI’s capabilities, limitations, and ethical implications, along with practical experience using AI tools.
