The Conflict of Interest in the Workplace policy requires that all University of Iowa employees -- faculty, staff, and student employees, including graduate assistants -- disclose any potential or actual conflicts of interest in the workplace in advance of initiating an activity or when the employee, in the exercise of reasonable diligence, first becomes aware of the conflict or the potential for conflict.

Additionally, some UI employees are required by policy to complete an Annual Disclosure of Outside Professional Activities and Interests (see http://provost.uiowa.edu/conflict-interest-workplace for additional information).

Online eCOI Disclosure System:  Disclosures should be made using the eCOI online disclosure system: http://ecoi.uiowa.edu.  You will log in to the system using your HawkID and password.

Once submitted, the disclosure will be reviewed by the appropriate central and collegiate/unit officers – if faculty, by the Provost Office and Associate Dean for Faculty; if staff, University Human Resources and the Senior HR Leader.  If it is determined that a Management Plan is needed to safeguard against any actual, potential, or appearance of a conflict, your collegiate/unit representative will contact you.
