Michael J. Brody Award for Faculty Excellence in Service

The Brody Award is named in honor of the late Michael J. Brody, former president of the UI Faculty Senate. It recognizes outstanding faculty who have made exceptional contributions to the UI and the community.

  • Lan Samantha Chang,  Elizabeth M. Stanley Professor in the Arts and program director, Writers' Workshop
  • Usha Mallik, professor of physics and astronomy in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Kembrew McLeod, professor of communication studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
  • Todd Pettys, H. Blair and Joan V. White Chair in Civil Litigation in the College of Law
  • Steven Ungar, professor of cinema and comparative literature in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
