Emily Campbell
Campbell transitioned to the Office of the Provost in 2025, after serving in budget leadership positions in the Colleges of Education and Liberal Arts and Sciences since 2011. She leads the Operations and Decision Support (ODS) unit, a group of financial, data management, and human resource professionals who support the provost and associate provosts. Guided by strategic planning priorities, Campbell and her team provide consultation and decision support services to the provost, and work with other central administrative leaders to create and communicate university policies and decisions regarding resource generation, usage, and allocations.
Campbell earned a BS in accounting from the University of Illinois and an MS in accounting from the University of Texas. She began her career as an auditor for Deloitte and later served as financial controller for a not-for-profit education organization before joining the University of Iowa.
