Iowa New Faculty Orientation

Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Stanley Café, Hancher Auditorium

Start your Iowa journey by joining us for a welcoming, high-impact introduction to the university. Connect with colleagues, engage with campus leaders, hear directly from President Barbara Wilson and Provost Kevin Kregel, and begin building the networks that will support your success. Attendance is strongly encouraged to help you get off to a strong start at Iowa.

To complement the in-person experience, explore the INFO course (available soon through ICON) for additional orientation content, resources, and guidance you can access at your own pace. From introductions to campus culture and expectations to teaching, research, and support resources, this course serves as a centralized hub to help you navigate your first year and beyond.

Please contact faculty@uiowa.edu for further information.
