RE:            Spring 2023 Teaching in Higher Education Conference Award

The Council on Teaching seeks applications for the Spring 2023 Teaching in Higher Education Conference Award.

The focus of this award is for faculty and staff to gain a better understanding of teaching in their discipline or trends in higher education in general (e.g., curriculum design, course design and delivery, pedagogical best practices, or assessment of learning) in order to enhance their teaching effectiveness at the University of Iowa. The funds may be used for in-person or virtual conference registration costs, travel, and lodging. Applicants who are presenting have priority over those who are attending but not presenting; applicants do NOT, however, have to present to be considered.

NOTE:  This award is not intended to provide funds to attend conferences/annual meetings with the primary goal of acquiring information about research advances in a specific discipline.

Applications are due by December 1, 2022 for conferences occurring between January 2023 through May 2023. Future calls for applications will be sent for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 conferences.
