The University of Iowa Honorary Degree Selection Committee has extended the call for nominations for the 2023-2024 academic year to Monday, Oct. 31, 2022. 

With the approval of the Board of Regents, the University of Iowa confers these prestigious honors to individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements in areas such as research, scholarship, education, artistic creation, social activism, human rights, or humanitarian outreach. Current employees or government officials are not eligible. Nominations where philanthropy or the possibility of future endowments to the institution are the primary focus will not be considered. The University of Iowa does not confer honorary degrees posthumously.
