It is my pleasure to share with you the 2021 annual report from University of Iowa International Programs. The report offers a glimpse into the many ways in which the UI continues to internationalize its campus as we rebound and rebuild from the pandemic. While our daily operations did not fully return to normal, they did resemble the familiar, and we are grateful for the progress made. This year, we eagerly interacted with global partners to broaden the experiences of students and faculty as they study and conduct research abroad. International Programs extended and deepened its efforts to create new knowledge across borders, cultures, and oceans, and to work in partnership with the larger Iowa community so that we all may become more globally aware citizens. The story of the 2021 annual report is one of adaptation, resilience, and innovation in pursuing our mission to advance international education on our campus.

International Programs, as the hub of international activities at the UI, will continue to connect Iowa to the world and to bring the world to Iowa.
