Investment up to $5,000 to assist University of Iowa faculty in addressing challenges in bringing research/scholarly projects to closure within the time frame of the award.
All UI tenure, clinical, research, and instruction track faculty with 50% or greater appointment; may only receive one award every other year.
- Using the ISP Request for Funding form, UI faculty must submit their funding request to their associate dean for faculty (ADF), who will then submit the request faculty@uiowa.edu.
- Requests are due to the Office of the Provost with ADF approval by Nov 22, 2024, 5:00 pm.
- Funding is limited and will be reviewed for merit and in the order in which they are submitted.
- ISP funding must be expended within one year of date awarded and before other funding sources.
- Funding should be used to provide resources for to complete projects, portion of summer salary to support research and instruction, small amount of bridge funding to help with completing projects, funds to cover page charges for publications, particularly for faculty who do not have grants for this purpose, or travel funds to attend meetings.
- Extensions or repurposing of fund requests will not be considered.
- Incomplete forms (no administrator signature, no budget itemization) or late submissions will not be considered.
