Assessment of teaching can include evidence of instructor efforts to advance the knowledge and practice of teaching, including both the instructors’ systematic inquiries into their own teaching and their leadership for teaching and learning initiatives in their department, the campus, professional networks, or scholarly organizations.
The Teaching Effectiveness Task Force will continue to work with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) community and other campus partners to develop guidance for instructors on providing evidence of their scholarly inquiry into their own teaching and their substantive contributions to teaching and learning beyond their classrooms.
