UI holds top public nursing, writing programs in ‘US News’ rankings of best universities

The University of Iowa improved its national ranking in undergraduate nursing programs to No. 4 and is tied for No. 1 among public universities, while also remaining the best public writing program in the country, according to the latest rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.

Campus can submit preliminary proposals for FY2025 P3 funding

Preliminary proposals are now being accepted for FY2025 P3 initiatives to support the University of Iowa 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. Faculty and staff can submit a proposal for a one- to three-year project that would start July 1, 2024. Preliminary proposals must be submitted by Nov. 6.

FERPA Training Requirements for Instructors

All UI instructors, including TAs and adjuncts, are required to complete the online FERPA training module and quiz at least once during their employment at the university. After having completed the training, instructors will be required to attest to an Annual Certification Notice on Jan. 1 of each year in UI Self-Service.

Federal Compliance Related to Financial Aid

The University of Iowa is required to verify, during the semester, that students receiving federal financial aid are actively participating in their courses per federal financial aid regulations. Verifying a student’s academic engagement will determine whether a student must repay a portion of their federal financial aid (grants and loans).
