FERPA Training Requirements for Instructors (2018)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that establishes confidentiality requirements and student rights to inspect and review education records.  All UI instructors, including TAs and Adjuncts, are required to complete the online FERPA training module and quiz at least once during their employment at the University.  After having completed the training, instructors will be required to attes

Call for Honorary Degree Nominations, Fall 2018

The University of Iowa Honorary Degree Selection Committee seeks nominations for the 2018-19 academic year. These prestigious awards may be conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements in such areas as research, scholarship, education, artistic creation, social activism, human rights, innovation or invention beneficial to society, and humanitarian outreach. Nominations where philanthropy or the possibility of future endowments are the main focus will not be considered. Please note: this award is not conferred posthumously.

2019-2020 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Competition

Opportunities are available for university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others.
