International Programs Annual Report 2018

It is my pleasure to share with you the 2018 annual report from University of Iowa International Programs. The report offers a glimpse into the many ways in which the UI is internationalizing its campus, interacting globally with collaborative partners, broadening the experiences of students as they study and conduct research abroad, creating new knowledge across borders and oceans, and working in partnership with the larger Iowa community so that we all may become more globally aware citizens. 

Outstanding Teaching Assistant Call for Nominations 2018-19

The University of Iowa Council on Teaching announces the annual Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards and invites nominations for 2018-19.  This award recognizes teaching assistants who have demonstrated outstanding ability as teachers at the University of Iowa. Recipients receive a $1,000 monetary award and a certificate presented at the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards Reception in May of each year.

New process- health accommodation needs for graduate assistants

Effective immediately, the Graduate College and Departments will begin collaborating with University Human Resources Faculty and Staff Disability Services Office (FSDS) to administer all workplace accommodation needs (including new or ongoing health conditions) for graduate assistants.  This change is consistent with the recent change for faculty and staff employees.

Global Research Partnership Award (application deadline 10/15/18)


I’m excited to announce a new international research funding opportunity. Submissions are now being accepted for the Global Research Partnership Award (GRPA)

The GRPA is intended to assist new or expanding international partnerships and/or facilitate future joint research projects, with two awards available for up to $10,000 each. All full-time University of Iowa faculty are eligible to apply.
