Search committee formed for associate provost for undergraduate education

With Lon Moeller leaving the UI at the end of March to become provost Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the Office of the Provost is beginning the search for his successor as associate provost for undergraduate education and dean of University College. 

 

Tom Rice, special assistant to the provost, will chair the committee.  The other committee members are:

 

Renee Cole, associate professor of chemistry, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Kevin Den Adel, director, undergraduate program in accounting, Tippie College of Business

Helena Dettmer, associate dean for undergraduate programs and curriculum, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Nicole Grosland, associate dean for academic programs, College of Engineering

Riley Hubbart, senator, University of Iowa Student Government

Nancy Langguth, associate dean for teacher education and student services, College of Education

Anita Nicholson, associate dean for undergraduate programs, College of Nursing

Jim Torner, professor of epidemiology, College of Public Health

 

Kevin Kregel, associate provost for faculty, will serve as acting associate provost for undergraduate education and dean of University College until the search is complete, which is expected to be by June 1.
