The University of Iowa has a long and proud tradition of providing quality education to the citizens of Iowa, the nation, and the world. The Division of Continuing Education works in cooperation with the University’s academic colleges to deliver courses online and both on and off campus in a variety of formats and schedules. This allows for all students, whether across the state or on the other side of the world, to achieve their educational goals.

Institute for Clinical and Translational Science

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) is one of 60 leading medical research institutions located throughout the nation participating in the Clinical and Translational Science Award Consortium and is supported in part by an award from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, and the National Institutes of Health.  The combined resources, efforts, and commitment of these institutions are transforming how biomedical research is conducted by accelerating the translation of medical discoveries into actual treatments, engaging communities in clinical research efforts, and training new clinical and translational investigators.

International Programs

International Programs functions as a catalyst for internationalization and a hub for international activities at the University of Iowa.  Its mission is to provide leadership and support for internationally-oriented teaching, research, creative work and community engagement.  IP programs and services include international student and scholar services, study abroad, grants and funding support, intercultural training, classroom and community programs, communications and relations services, and14 academic centers and programs. 

Museum of Art

Interim Executive Director Jim Leach

The purpose of the University of Iowa Museum of Art is to advance education and research in the fields of Art and Art History in ways that contribute to and enhance the academic mission of the University of Iowa. The Museum collects, conserves, and exhibits major works of art in order to teach its constituents, including university students, faculty and staff, the Iowa City community, the people of the state of Iowa, and visitors from around the world, how to better understand and appreciate art and civilizations from around the world.  The University of Iowa Museum of Art has one of the top university art collections in the country.

University College

University College serves an important role at the University of Iowa, serving as an administrative home for programs that span the academic colleges.  University College offers a degree-completion program, the BAS, that allows students with an associate's degree to expand their opportunities.  Focused on helping students succeed academically, University College offers tutoring services, academic workshops, first-year seminars, and a caring staff who are focused on helping students connect to the resources they need.

The University of Iowa Libraries is the largest library system in Iowa. The University’s Main Library, Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, five branch libraries, and the Law Library contain more than 5 million volumes.
