Office of the Provost Web Applications

The Office of the Provost maintains several web-based applications and for collecting and disseminating institutional data. 

The following applications require a HawkID and password.  To request access, use the access form below.

Faculty Development Award Database

  • System to apply for and report on faculty development awards and faculty fellowships administered by the Office of the Provost.  Faculty members who have received developmental leave awards must submit a report in the semester following the leave. See the Office of the Provost Faculty Development pages for reporting instructions.

Faculty Special Titles Database

The "Faculty Special Titles" database is used to maintain special titles like endowed chairs and Department Executive Officer (DEO) information for faculty within each college.

Faculty HR Representatives are responsible for maintaining this database. The "Faculty Special Titles" database is the authoritative source for populating faculty-related information for the General Catalog, Institutional Roles, and other campus reports. Access to the database can be found under the "Administration" tab in Self Service.

Follow these steps to add/edit special titles or DEO information for a faculty member:

  1. Log in to Employee Self Service
  2. Select the Administration tab
  3. Under HR Online Update, select Faculty Special Titles
  4. Use one of the fields on the screen to find the faculty member
  5. Choose a faculty member from the list and select Continue
  6. The "Manage Special Faculty Titles" screen will allow you to manage a faculty member's record. Select Show to edit a current title, Add to enter a new title, or History to view a previous title.

 Follow these steps to search Special Titles by Employee or Org/Department:

  1. Log in to Employee Self Service
  2. Select the Administration tab
  3. Under the Data Access tab, select HR Reports
  4. Select Faculty Status Reports
  5. Select either "Special Titles by Employee" or "Special Titles by Org/Dept"
  6. This report will allow you to review Faculty Special Titles by Employee or Org/Department

 Faculty Status Report

Post-Tenure Effort Allocation Policy (PTEAP) Database

  • In accordance with the University's Post-tenure Effort Allocation Policy, each spring (late fall for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) DEOs and each of their tenured faculty members must agree upon a planned allocation of effort (among teaching, research, service, and clinical service) for the following academic year. DEOs or their departmental administrative assistants must record this plan online, via the Office of the Provost PTEAP web application. If the effort allocation does not fall within "unit norms," a brief explanation must be included in the faculty member's record.

ProView

  • ProView (formerly the Review of Operations) provides aggregate reports of financial, FTE, and enrollment data, as collected from various University-wide data warehouses. Reports are available by college, department, and fund (according to authorization).
