The Center for Diversity & Enrichment (CDE) Graduation Reception, formerly known as the Multicultural Graduation and Recognition Banquet (MGRB) will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union. A reception will take place from 3:00-4:00 p.m. followed by an awards program.  Awards begin at 4:00.

The University of Iowa Council on Teaching announces the 26th annual Outstanding Teaching Assistant Awards and invites nominations for 2013-14.  This award recognizes teaching assistants who have demonstrated outstanding ability as teachers at the University of Iowa.

Through the generous support of the Stanley-UI Foundation Support Organization, the International Programs’ Global Conference Award promotes important contributions to scholarly debates and exchanges on international topics, issues, discoveries, and arts.  Proposals for events that will take place on The University of Iowa campus and that will enhance international knowledge and understanding for University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students and are based on multi- and cross-disciplinary perspectives are currently being solicited.

The deadline is April 15, 2014.

The Provost’s Global Forum is the premier annual event on campus focused on international and global issues.  The Forum brings together experts from the faculty and leading voices from a variety of areas (business, technology, education, politics) to raise awareness about and contribute to debate on the foremost issues in globalization that face us today.  In addition to serving the University of Iowa community broadly, the Forum endeavors to build connections between the University and the state of Iowa, and positions the UI as a national node in discussions of global affairs.
