The Fulbright Core Scholar Program is a collection of country and regional programs with an array of lecturing and/or research opportunities abroad. About 800 lecturer/research awards in over 140 countries are available.

The University of Iowa Honorary Degree Selection Committee seeks nominations for the 2019-2020 academic year. These prestigious awards may be conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements in such areas as research, scholarship, education, artistic creation, social activism, human rights, innovation or invention beneficial to society, and humanitarian outreach. Nominations where philanthropy or the possibility of future endowments are the main focus will not be considered. Please note: this award is not conferred posthumously.

The Global Curriculum Development Award provides up to $3,000 to faculty who create new undergraduate courses, or substantially revise existing ones, in order to integrate international or global perspectives into an undergraduate major. Applications are due on May 1, 2019. For more information:
