The following list represents a wide variety of online mentoring resources.  Inclusion on this web site does not indicate an endorsement of any organization or specific products.

  • Coaching and Mentoring Network (The). Thorough explanation of these terms, including an explanation of the differences between coaching and mentoring.
  • Management Mentoring. Geared toward non-profits and businesses, includes descriptions of mentoring and tips on setting up a mentoring program.
  • MENTOR. Research materials and resources regarding all aspects of mentoring. Information about being a mentor, starting a program, and advocating for mentoring.
  • Mentor Directory (The). A comprehensive collection of mentoring resources, including definitions, examples, links to mentoring organizations in the U.S. and Canada, and tools for mentor agreements, matching, and program management systems.
  • Michigan State Board of Education/Michigan State University - ASSIST Beginning Teachers - Mentor Teachers. This site provides assistance for beginning teachers, experienced teachers, and administrators. This site offers information for teacher mentors, including tools for self-evaluation, educative mentoring, and mentor self-assessment.
  • National Mentoring Center. Focus on school-based, youth mentoring programs. Includes information on program design, screening and background checks, and mentor training.

  • U.S. Coast Guard Mentoring. Offers mentor and mentee guides, assessment tools, and other general, online resources.
  • U.S. Department of Education Mentoring Resource Center. Provides direct links to online resources, guidebooks, and evaluation tools that will be useful to ED grantees as they develop their programs.
