Hobsons contract was signed 9/18/2007
Hobsons offers a complete Student Relationship Management (SRM) system that can track all interactions with prospective and current students. In addition to letters, phone, and emails contacts Hobsons can also manage newer contemporary modes of communication like chat, IM, and texting. Initially this functionality will be used by Admissions for prospective students. Once that is in place it will be expanded to include other offices and our current students. This SRM system should improve recruiting, retention and the overall student experience at the University of Iowa.
ConnectEdu contract was signed 8/10/2007
By working with ConnectEdu, a vendor of web-based college and career planning solutions, Admissions is able to begin electronically receiving application materials, including transcripts and recommendation letters, using XML data exchange. This will eliminate the burden of re-keying application materials and it will also serve to eliminate data entry errors.
