What is The Iowa Promise?

The Iowa Promise is The University of Iowa's Strategic Plan for 2005-2010.
We titled the plan The Iowa Promise for two reasons: because as a University community we recognize our potential for greatness-our promise-and intend to realize it; and at the same time, we recognize that we cannot achieve greatness except by fulfilling our pledge-our promise-to those we serve.
The following pages describe the specific responsibilities and commitments of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost as we seek to fulfill our promise in each of these five focus areas:
