  • Hancher Auditorium - Presents several annual series of concert, theater, dance and performance events bringing national and international artists to the campus.

  • School of Music - Provides a full schedule of recitals, concerts, master classes and festivals.
  • Department of Theatre Arts - Produces some 25 productions each season including mainstage, second-stage, and gallery productions, plus several readings of new plays.
  • Department of Dance - Offers opportunities to see student and professional performances
  • Museum of Natural History - Is the oldest university museum west of the Mississippi River, established in 1858.
  • Ida Beam Visiting Professorships - Brings nationally and internationally recognized scholars and teachers to campus for public lectures and to meet with students and faculty.
  • Old Capitol Museum - Old Capitol has served Iowa for more than 150 years as a seat of government and education. Built in the early 1840's, Old Capitol is an example of Greek Revival architecture.
