Registration

The Iowa Edge, August 17-21, is an exciting program for 72 African American, American Indian, Asian American, Latino/a, and first-generation college students.

Registration will open May 15.

To register for The Iowa Edge, you must:

• Complete the online registration form.
• Complete the challenge course waiver form.
• Mail or fax the challenge course waiver to Will Coghill-Behrends:

Once your registration forms are processed, you will receive a confirmation letter and details about day-one activities. If you are not one of the 72 selected, you will be placed on a wait list and notified about your position on the wait list.

Participants in The Iowa Edge must:

• Attend a two-day orientation program in June or July. If you have not done so, please register for a two-day orientation program.   MORE INFORMATION
• Live in a University of Iowa residence hall.   MORE INFORMATION
• Arrive Monday, August 17, and move into your residence hall room before the program start time. The Iowa Edge begins Monday, August 17, and concludes Friday, August 21.
• Participate in all required activities. Due to scheduling conflicts, students may not participate in formal fraternity/sorority recruitment. Yet, participants may participate in informal recruitment and join a fraternity/sorority during the academic year. For more information, please contact Kelly Jo Karnes or the organization you wish to join.
• All UI students are required to have health insurance. If you do not have medical insurance, you are ecouraged to obtain it before August 1. You may purchase the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) through the University of Iowa . You must purchase the SHIP prior to August 1, for coverage to begin in August.   MORE INFORMATION
